Downingtown Area Recreation Consortium (DARC) is a long-standing and well-regarded regional recreation organization in Southeastern PA. DARC provides outstanding year-long adult and children oriented recreational programs including summer camps. It serves the recreation needs of the residents and students of Downingtown Area School District and the affiliated municipalities in the area.

The Downingtown Area Recreation Consortium (DARC) is currently accepting applications for a full time Recreation Program Coordinator.   The Recreation Program Coordinator responsibilities included: planning, developing, organizing and managing seasonal and year-round programs for activities in various interest groups including: youth/adult programs, camps, special events, fitness, leagues and general recreation while stimulating community interest in our programs and services through media outreach initiatives. Inspects equipment and recommend repairs. Prepares supply requisitions and controls use of equipment and materials. Candidate must be creative, self-motivated, detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and possess excellent organizational and communication skills along with outstanding abilities in public relations.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in recreation management, physical education, or closely related field. • Related experience with demonstrated abilities to coordinate recreational programs. • Knowledge of and proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and various types of computers and office machines. • Must work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. • Must be able to lift 50lbs  • Must be able to set up athletic fields • Completion of pre-employment background clearance screening. • Must be CPR & First Aid certified within six (6) months of hire. • Must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
