2:00 PM - 4:00 PM    Art Workshops (Teen and Adult) with Chrysalis Art Center - Intro to Alcohol Ink Painting- Sun. July 13, 2025
Glass Fusing Pendant Jewelrymaking WorkshopGlass fusing creates beautiful results! It can be worn as a single pendant or combined with beads to make a necklace. You will have time to create several for gifts! Beautiful colors to pick from transparent or opaque pieces that you arrange with melting edges in mind. So fun and satisfying. These can be picked up about a week later after firing. More projects are possible with glass but this will be a good introduction to the medium. **Pick up will be in approximately 1 week later! Ceramic Pumpkin Workshop with Megan CarlsonCome and create your very own ceramic pumpkin/s. In this 2 hour workshop you will receive a piece of clay and be walked through the process of making a pumpkin. You will be given underglaze to paint the pumpkin in whatever colors you choose. These pumpkins can be used indoors or outdoors, and are great because the animals can't eat them! Pieces will be fired and can be picked up once they are done. Wool Art Painting Workshop Wool watercolor is an exceptional art where the piece is created by layering dry wool layer by layer onto fabric (not needle felting). This unique technique allows you to create stunning art with 3-D effect, keeping all secrets of creation under the glass. Under the weight of glass these complex layers of wool appear unbelievably vibrant and rich. Working with wool is a meditative process with therapeutic effects where small motor skills exercise, calm down, and relax the nervous system. During the workshop Maria will lead you step by step and help you finish this richly colored artwork- ready to hang! Choose any picture or painting to recreate in wool.Welcome Home Gnome! Clay Workshop with Megan CarlsonCome and make our own charming pottery gnome. Megan Carlson will walk you through the steps to create a stoneware gnome you can use indoors or outdoors. Glaze the same day with underglazes and Megan will clear coat before firing. Intro to Alcohol Ink Painting Learn the basics of working with alcohol inks with Nina Yocom. Have you been curious about alcohol inks? This introduction to Alcohol Inks Workshop is perfect for someone who has no experience to someone who wants more experience using a variety of different surfaces and tools.
