Bricks Challenge: STEM & Engineering Fundamentals           with Young Engineers Instructors Step into the world of STEM with the Bricks Challenge! This hands-on program blends science, technology, engineering, and math with creative play to introduce children to the core principles of mechanical engineering. Through fun, interactive lessons, students explore topics like forces, energy, torque, load distribution, centrifugal force, and complex mechanisms. Along the way, they’ll learn about historical inventors and scientists such as Archimedes and Leonardo da Vinci, drawing inspiration from their groundbreaking discoveries. Perfect for young builders and thinkers, Bricks Challenge fosters critical thinking, spatial recognition, and a love for learning through engaging, story-driven activities.Bricks Challenge Objectives: Learn key principles of engineering and physics. Introduce children to the fundamentals of classical mechanics. Develop ability to analyze engineering processes. Cultivate critical problem-solving and creative thinking skills. 1/2024: Mask policy- optional but we ask that if your child is sick(coughing, sneezing, etc) to be considerate to others health and have them wear a mask.The Half Day Playground Program for Kindergarten Age children will be offered Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 am to Noon. No camp on Fridays. WE WILL BE HOSTING PLAYGROUND CAMPS IN THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS TENTATIVELY: (               1. BRANDYWINE WALLACE ELEMENTARY                2. PICKERING VALLEY ELEMENTARY               3. EAST WARD ELEMENTARYOur kindergarten camps have a lower number of campers and a higher ratio of camp staff to meet the needs of the younger children.Each of the weeks will be based around a theme of the week (download the weekly theme summary from forms section below). Bricks Challenge: STEM & Engineering Fundamentals           with Young Engineers Instructors Step into the world of STEM with the Bricks Challenge! This hands-on program blends science, technology, engineering, and math with creative play to introduce children to the core principles of mechanical engineering. Through fun, interactive lessons, students explore topics like forces, energy, torque, load distribution, centrifugal force, and complex mechanisms. Along the way, they’ll learn about historical inventors and scientists such as Archimedes and Leonardo da Vinci, drawing inspiration from their groundbreaking discoveries.
