After School programs using LEGO® with Snapology (ages 5-15) - Amusement Park Engineering (TUES)
Amusement Park EngineeringWe bet your child loves going to amusement parks, but have they ever thought about the science that goes into building those rides and the people who are responsible for designing them? In Snapology’s ,amusement Park Engineering class, students will become engineers of their own amusement park rides and will learn the core physics and engineering concepts used to make a ride thrilling!AttackBotsWhile working with a partner to solve the various challenges, your students will be challenged to understand how to effectively utilize a sensor, and how different mechanical components can alter power and speed of their machine. They will learn how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with a little practice!Motor ManiaDoes your little learner love to tinker and create new things, or are they the kind of learner who likes to break things apart to see what’s inside? If so, they’re going to love Snapology’s Motor Mania! This program gives your student the tools they need to understand mechanical movement and the importance of simple machines. They will see these moving parts up-close as they follow instructions to build various machines and contraptions, then use the models to develop new design ideas, test out physics concepts, and even play games with their partners and classmates. Whether they are the creative-constructive type or prefer the inquisitive-deconstructive way of learning, this program is sure to spark their engineering interests!
Developing Engineers: Mechanical Masterminds (AGES 5-11)Does your child love solving problems, tinkering, or dreaming of becoming an engineer? Snapology’s Developing Engineers: Mechanical Masterminds program is the perfect adventure for them! In this fun, hands-on class, they’ll dive into physics, and engineering while building awesome models using Lego®. and creating their own designs. With exciting challenges, interactive games, and endless opportunities to experiment, this program will spark their curiosity and creativity—all while having a blast!
Mining & Building (Advanced) - cancelled (will be a summer camp instead)Snapology’s Advanced Mining & Building is a technical class involving advanced Minecraft building using LEGO bricks and game-play experience while learning the art of crafting and stirring up their own potions using LEGO® bricks. You came, you saw, and you mined at Snapology’s Advanced Minecraft!Movie Favorites - cancelledThe program brings beloved animated characters like those from Lion King™, Trolls™, How To Train Your Dragon, and Encanto to life with LEGO® challenges, fostering creative STEAM skills!We need 6 children registered to run any of these programs!
