Join DARC for a trip to Baltimore's Inner Harbor to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America during Sail250® Maryland & Airshow Baltimore! This global gathering honors our service members and the spirit of freedom by bringing together international tall ships, military vessels, and aircraft. We will start the day by exploring the festivities at the Martin State Airport (Middle River, MD) then make our way to Baltimore Inner Harbor where the Main festival is, Tour the tall ship, vendors, and Blue Angels Airshow over the harbor. The Airshow is featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and other aviation performers who fill the sky with the "sounds of freedom" and aerial displays. This event is a global gathering of international tall ships, military ships, and aircraft celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States. Baltimore is part of a five-city national event which also includes the ports of New Orleans, Norfolk, New York and Boston.
This historic event features:
- A traveling flotilla of international tall ships
- U.S. Navy vessels
- An airshow over the Inner Harbor featuring the Blue Angels
The festival spans several key waterfront locations in Baltimore:
- Inner Harbor
- Fells Point
- Baltimore Peninsula
- Martin State Airport
This trip will be on-your-own; attendees can explore at their own pace, with plenty of live entertainment, historic ship tours, shopping, local food vendors, and waterfront activities throughout the day.
Trip Itinerary
- First Stop: Martin State Airport (Middle River, MD)
Bus drop-off and shuttle point. Visitors will take a short shuttle to access the Baltimore waterfront festival zones.
- Next Stop: Baltimore Inner Harbor (Approx. 45 minutes from airport area)
Main festival zone, tall ship tours, vendors, and Blue Angels Airshow over the harbor.
