LaunchPad Rocketry Camp introduces middle and high school students to the exciting world of aerospace through hands-on model rocketry. Over four evenings, participants will design, build, and launch beginner and intermediate rockets while learning the fundamentals of aerodynamics, propulsion, and safe construction techniques. Each session combines classroom-style instruction with practical build time, ensuring students not only understand the science but also experience the thrill of seeing their rockets soar.
This camp provides more than just fun—it’s a meaningful STEM enrichment opportunity affording students exposure to engineering principles, problem-solving, and teamwork. With all materials included and no prior experience required, LaunchPad Rocketry Camp is an accessible yet rigorous program sparking a lifelong interest in aerospace.
Materials Needed by Participant:
All rocket kits, engines, and construction supplies are included in the registration fee. Students should bring a notebook and pen/pencil for design notes, and wear clothing suitable for hands-on building activities. Safety glasses will be provided.

HPR Lab - High-Powered Rocketry Camp: is designed for students ready to advance their rocketry skills and tackle more complex aerospace challenges. Over five evenings, participants will design, construct, and prepare a high-powered rocket while learning advanced building techniques, safety procedures, and certification requirements. Each session blends technical instruction with hands-on construction, guiding students through the process of building a rocket suitable for Level 1 High Power Rocketry certification.
This program offers a rigorous STEM experience that emphasizes precision, responsibility, and problem-solving. Students leave camp with a completed high-powered rocket and the knowledge to pursue certification through the National Association of Rocketry. With all materials included and instruction aligned to the NAR Safety Code, HPR Lab provides a structured environment where curiosity and skill converge to spark keen interest in aerospace.

Level of Experience-:
- LaunchPad Rocketry Camp: No prior experience required. This camp is designed for beginners and those new to model rocketry.
- HPR Lab: Participants must have completed LaunchPad Rocketry Camp, earned the Civil Air Patrol Basic Rocketry Badge, or be able to demonstrate prior model rocketry experience and a solid understanding of intermediate construction techniques and the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) Safety Code.
- Program Emphasis:
Both camps are highly interactive, blending technical instruction with practical build sessions. Students will gain exposure to engineering principles, teamwork, and problem-solving while working toward tangible aerospace achievements.
