Foraging Foray: Investigate Planet Earth! at Kerr Park Pavilion

Explore the great outdoors, celebrate Earth Month, uncover some hidden plant delights, and learn more about our place in our ecosystems during a guided walk and tasting. Participants will learn to identify and use local plants, such as Violets, Chickweed, Garlic Mustard, Dandelion, maples, and more, that promote digestive and immune system support as our bodies reawaken for the spring. We shall spend a majority of the program exploring the grounds for these plants and learning ID & Application techniques, so come dressed for the weather! After the walk, create your own foraged loose-leaf tisanes and munch on some prepared refreshments utilizing nature's bounty. Snacks may include (but are not limited to), Dandelion fritters, Violet Lemonade, Garlic Mustard Dip with crackers, and more!
