CPR-AED-First Aid
Be prepared to save a life! When cardiac arrest occurs, immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival. This hands-on course will teach you essential CPR, AED, and first aid skills in a fun and engaging environment. You'll learn how to provide immediate care for injuries and sudden illnesses, focusing on the critical first five minutes. Upon completion, participants will receive an AHA certification via email within 7-10 business days, valid for two years.

Each year, more than 350,000 EMS-assessed out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States. According to the American Heart Association, 90 percent of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests sadly won’t survive.

When a person has a cardiac arrest, their survival depends on immediately receiving CPR from someone nearby. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double, or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival.
In his years of service, Sean has seen too often people will not start CPR on someone, either because they are scared or because they do not know how. Every minute that CPR is withheld decreases the chances of survival by 10%.
Because he has seen a family’s hurt when a loved one is lost due to the lack of receiving such care, He decided to help as many people as possible to understand and learn how easy it really is to apply this life-saving technique.
First Aid is the immediate care given to the injured or suddenly ill person. This information will concentrate on the first five minutes of care. Properly applied first aid can save lives, reduce recovery time, and quite possibly make a huge difference in someone’s life.

Sean lives and works in Chester County.  He’s been in the Fire/EMS Emergency Services for 15 years. He is a certified Stop the Bleed and CPR/AED and First Aid instructor through the American Heart Association, He is a full-time career FF/NREMT with Cleveland Cliffs Plate (Formerly Lukens Steel) in Coatesville, PA, and part time with Downingtown Fire Department; Minquas EMS.  He is also an active member with the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company and the East Brandywine Volunteer Fire Company.
