Dance Classes for ages 7-17 with Victoria J Irey Dance Studio
Hip Hop (Fridays)
Ages 6-9
Students will study the hip hop dance with Jazz, Funk, Pop and World Freestyle influences. Learn to move your body to fun rhythms with friends. Come check out the newest addition to our staff and learn the many different styles of hip hop! Please wear comfortable clothes and clean sneakers. No street shoes.
Jazz (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays)
Ages 6-8 (Monday)
Ages 8-11 (Tuesday)
Ages 11+ (Wednesday)
Students will develop strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps. In a Jazz class the dancers also learn many fun and trendy dance steps that are used for all forms of dance.
Acro Beginner (Fridays)
Ages 7-10
This class combines skills of both dance and gymnastics. Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, concentration, muscle control, and discipline. Dancers study acrobatic techniques and explore how these techniques can be applied other forms of dance.
Ballet, Tap, and Tumble (Thursdays)
Age 7
A combination class that introduces the fundamentals and terminology of ballet, tap and Acro dance while building self-esteem and confidence. This class will cover a lot of different styles and techniques so the younger dancers will feel challenged but not overwhelmed!
