Band Instrument Music Lessons

Megan Elder- Band Instrument Instructor
Are you interested in learning a new instrument or getting better at one you already
play? You can sign up for one-on-one or small group lessons on the following
instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone,
snare drum, bell set. Receive individualized instruction from Megan Elder, a PA-certified
music teacher who has taught instrumental instruction in public schools and privately for
10 years.

Instruction is tailored to student needs and interests. You can work on music for school
band, learn those new notes you’ve been looking at, even play Happy Birthday for a
family member! During your first lesson, we’ll set goals together that will drive instruction
for the duration of our session.

Students must have their own instrument to participate. If you are just getting started
and would like help choosing the best instrument for you, Megan can help! Send an
email to meganelder108@gmail.com prior to registering for lessons.

Lessons are half hour time slots. When registering, please indicate your preferred day
and time slot, as well as your instrument and experience level. If you are interested in a
small group lesson (2-4 students), please contact the DARC office. All lessons will be
held at the DARC Office.

Pricing for 6-week session:
½ hour one-on-one lessons: $240res / $260nonres
½ hour group lessons (2-4 students): $200res / $220nonres

Each participant will need the following: instrument, lesson book (this can be one they use in school, or Megan can recommend one after lessons begin), music stand (for at-home practice), and any accessories that go with the instrument (for example, reeds if they play oboe, clarinet, or saxophone). Participants can have any level of experience.
