Bicycle Maintenance

This course will thoroughly cover more in-depth bike maintenance knowledge to include detailing, the different parts of a bicycle, and how the parts work together. The course is over the span of five weeks with a choice of signing up for Tuesdays or Thursdays. Each week the student will learn something new, with the fifth week bringing everything together with a chance to practice what you learn on your own bike under the supervision of the instructor.

The instructor, Brandon Sakelarides, graduated from Barnett Bicycle Institute.
He also has a Bicycle Standard of Excellence Certificate. 
With over 15 years of Bicycle Industry and Repair Experience.


Course Breakdown:

Week 1: Introduction to the course, flat repair, and Drivetrain basics.
Week 2: Drivetrain, gears, shifters, etc, intro to brakes.
Week 3: Brakes continued, and wheel truing.
Week 4: Intro to bearings and cranksets.
Week 5: Chance to ask questions about topics not covered and practice what you have learned on your own bike with guidance of your instructor.
