These ART programs will be running during the yellow reopening phase.  The instructor is following all the CDC guidelines for a safe and fun ART class!

Teen "Art"
Workshops (ages 9+)
Teen workshops are for young artists looking for a small community of creative thinkers. Come be inspired by others and the studio atmosphere. Enjoy one or all of these two day summer workshops in July for Painting, Drawing or Jewelrymaking. Use your skills to build on, request guidance from experienced artists and come up with artwork to springboard into the next level of quality. Show work in the gallery if you are ready to share. Focus on style or technique pursuing your area of interest. Can’t think of which direction to go-brainstorm with us!

Now Beginning : "Hump Day" Creative Outlet (For Adults)Need a break to pursue your creative self in a relaxing environment? Come join our Wednesday evening Art Studio 6-8 PM. Draw, Paint, Sculpt, Design using our materials, expertise, storage, and workshop space. Steal time for yourself! Artist(s) will be available for consultation or guidance as needed. Individualized project development, collaboration options, resources to share. Work in a studio environment on your own creative idea and art medium. Store your ongoing projects here and utilize our optional showcase. Additional studio time available Tuesdays-Sundays.  $225 for 4 evenings including basic supplies.

SATURDAY ART CLASSES: (6 classes)
Primary Art - Recreational Program (Ages 5-7): Are your little ones starting to show an interest in arts? Well this class is a perfect way for them to express their interest, all while learning and developing common concepts, terms and techniques in a real studio setting. 

Elementary Art - Recreational Program (Ages 8-11): This provides your kid(s) with the opportunity to attend exploratory classes, which focuses on Drawing and Painting in small groups. With all the art tools provided, this class will teach techniques, will build artistic literacy, and develop creative problem-solving skills.    

Teen Art - Recreational Program (Ages 12+): Are your teens showing potential in becoming the next Pablo Picasso? Bring them to a class that has an array of materials just waiting to become a masterpiece. This class provides them a place to draw, paint, sculpt, and design using provided materials in a workshop space. Artists will also be provided the opportunity for consultation or guidance as needed.

SUMMER CAMPS:
Painting Techniques for Beginners Camp (Ages 5-11)
Students will use a variety of paints and styles to create original paintings. Students are encouraged to try new techniques and experiment with materials. Basic color theories will be taught and students will have a wide range of experiences in painting methods.  Please wear old clothes or bring an “art shirt.”

Drawing Overview for Elementary Artist Camp
(Ages 5-11) 
Students with an interest in drawing will learn various traditional methods of sketching, drawing, and rendering with an array of materials. Work by famous artists will be studied and styles looked at. Students will work toward trying new techniques and practicing with previously learned methods.  Come join the fun during this mid-summer camp! Rain or shine, some outside work on beautiful days!  Our instructor is a teacher in the West Chester School District.

Drawing and Painting Combo Camp (Ages 5-11)
Students with an interest in drawing and painting basics will learn various traditional methods of sketching, drawing, and rendering with an array of materials. They will review and explore basic painting techniques and color mixing. Work by famous artists will be studied and styles looked at. Students will work toward trying new techniques and practicing with previously learned methods. Come join the fun during this mid-summer combo camp! Rain or shine, some outside work on beautiful days! 

Sculpture Basics Camp  (Ages 5-11) 
Students will use a variety of materials: wood, clay, wire, paper, plastic, etc, to create 3-Dimensional artwork. They will have fun learning techniques of sculpture, terms, and styles. Works by famous artists will be studied. If you like to build things, come sculpt with us!  


Construction & Design Artist Camp
(Ages 5-11) 

Students will use a variety of materials in creating original art in 2-D & 3-D: Options for Collage/Assemblage, wind sculptures, clay, paper mache, weaving, wood sculptures, or papermaking by interest.  Bring us your interesting reusable materials and start collecting boxes now!

Beth has added these two camps originally instructed by Julia Pook.
Creative Art and Textile Design (Summer Camp): This class is a fun way to incorporate art into what we wear and to turn textiles into art. We will learn
about different ways to decorate fabric and ways to use fabric to decorate spaces by designing t-shirts, creating wall hangings and 3-D yarn sculptures. The class will now take place at the Chrysalis Art Center at: 1475 Conestoga Rd, Chester Springs PA 19425.  Your Instructor will now be Beth Valitski. You must register for this program under "Art with Julia Pook."

Two and Three Dimensional Design (Summer Camp): 
Let’s try a little bit of it all! This class will give us a chance to explore as many art mediums as possible in
both 2-D and 3D. We will create fun and functional art with clay, plaster of paris, wire, and wood and more.   The class will now take place at the Chrysalis Art Center at: 1475 Conestoga Rd, Chester Springs PA 19425.  Your Instructor will now be Beth Valitski.  You must register for this program under "Art with Julia Pook."
