Single Workshop Foraging Foray:
Saturday, June 8th, 9:00AM-10:30AM
Thursday August 8th, 4:30PM-6:00PM
Saturday, September 7th, 9:00AM-10:30AM.
Discover the edible bounty in your own community through a hands-on foraging exploration! We will take a foraging walk around the property before heading back to the center to try some pre-made seasonal wild-edibles and create our own tea blends used to cool down and regulate our internal body temperature during the warm summer months. The first portion of the event will take place outside, learning about foraging etiquette, sustainability, and plant ID. Foraging Documents to create your own Materia Medica (plant ID book) will be available. Each participant will also get to create their own custom loose-leaf tea blend made from locally foraged plants. Please dress according to the weather - the event is held rain or shine. During this Foraging Workshop, participants MAY be able to try snacks that are not limited to Wineberry-Cherry jam, Sumac Lemonade, Wildflower cupcakes, and Pepperweed Salsa with chips (dependent on seasonal availability). All food is gluten free. All refreshments, dried plants for tea, tea pouches, and Materia Medica templates are provided.
Please Note: Program Registrations for these workshops close 1 week prior to the class date. Please call the office to register if the registration period has closed!
